Man Arrested with fake $1 million bill

28 November 2007

Police arrested a crook in America after he tried to open a bank account with a fake $1 million bill. Despite the fact that American Federal Reserve had never issued such a bill, 31-year-old Alexander D. Smith walked into a bank in South Carolina and asked the teller to open up a new bank account for him.

The bank teller called the police who arrested Smith, eventually charging him with two counts of forgery and disorderly conduct after he caused a scene whilst being arrested. Smith had earlier used a fake cheque to buy several cartons of cigarettes at a nearby convenience store.
