Bank accounts online can provide extremely secure transfers of your funds, but if you are lax with the protection of your own computer then all the banks do to protect you could be for nothing.

It is important when checking your bank accounts online that you only use a system that you know is secure. A secure system should have a firewall and anti-malware software installed that will scan the computer regularly for threats. Key loggers, zombie programs and other Trojan horse style threats could endanger the security of your bank accounts online. The actual transactions themselves are quite secure, so don';t let your system be the weak link in the chain.
